Young star Dulquer Salmaan's latest movie Comrade in America aka CIA was opened to mixed response. The highlights of the political romantic comedy entertainer, first-of-its-kind from director Amal Neerad, who is known for his cult action movies, are the notable performances of DQ, Siddique, Soubin Shahir and Dileesh Pothan, Ranadive's cinematography and Gopi Sunder's "inspired" background score.

In the first video, both Siddique and DQ's characters are seen taking a dig at each other as the duo believes in two different political ideologies. Parvathy has also delivered a natural performance in the movie.
In the second video, Aji is seen introducing his lady love, Sarah Mary Kurian (Karthika Muraleedharan), to his parents. The situational comedy -- with a scene from a Malayalam teleserial played in the background -- is sure to create a laugh riot, and the way Siddique's character Mathews handles the situation will make many jealous of the father-son relationship.
Meanwhile, the audio teaser of 'Kerala Manninayi' song that introduces DQ's character in the Amal directorial has also been released. Interestingly, music composer Gopi has admitted that the scene and the background score of the intro clip have been "inspired" by the song No Church in the Wild from the album Watch the Throne, after audience pointed it out soon after the movie's release.
Dulquer Salmaan, Vaikom Vijayalakshmi and G Sreeram have rendered their voice for the song penned by BK Narayanan.
Coming to the plot of CIA, after an interesting first half, illegal migration to the US via Mexican border becomes the main storyline in the second half as Aji decides to take a risky route sans visa to meet his lady love. Comrade in America is an entertaining movie complemented by Dulquer's impressive performance, good one-liners, beautiful picturisation and catchy music.
