At the 2nd day of Computex event, ASUS has added two 2-in-1 convertible laptop in its Transformer Book series.
The new Transformer Book T100HA replaces the best-selling T100 model, while the Transformer Book Flip TP200 is a thin and light addition to the likes of 'flippable' laptops. Transformer Book models incorporate USB 3.1 Type-C port for easier device connections.
Transformer Book T100HA
Transformer Book T100HA builds on the success of its predecessor, Transformer Book T100 2-in-1, combining the power of a stylish ultra-light 10.1-inch laptop with the convenience of a super-slim tablet — and with a claimed battery life of 14 hours for all-day mobility.
T100HA features a thinner and lighter aluminium-clad design, with a tablet portion that's just 8.45mm thin — 20% thinner than T100 — and weighs only 580g.
Improvements and performance upgrades that T100HA received include quad-core Intel Atom 'Cherry Trail' processors, up to 4GB RAM, and the latest reversible USB 3.1 Type-C port for improved ease of use. It is pre-installed with the new Windows 10 OS featuring Cortana.
It also has a metallic-finished lid and is available in four colour options — Silk White, Tin Grey, Aqua Blue and Rouge Pink.
Transformer Book Flip TP200
Transformer Book Flip TP200 features an 11.6-inch form factor and an eight-hour battery life. With its 360-degree hinge for the touchscreen, TP200 can be flipped instantly to any angles at user's will.
TP200 is also reportedly the first 11.6-inch flippable laptop to feature the latest USB 3.1 Type-C port, with its reversible connector design that makes it much easier to connect devices.
Though ASUS haven't declared the pricing details of both the models, they mentioned that both the devices will come with Windows 10 out-of-the-box and will be available from third quarter of 2015.
