On the first day of Computex 2015 event, ASUS has launched a series of products including ZenFone Selfie smartphone, ZenWatch 2 along with three Android-powered tablets under the ZenPad series.
Named ZenPad 7.0, ZenPad 8.0 and ZenPad S 8.0, the latest series of tablets will focus on different price markets.
The Zenpad series of tablets boasts of a VisualMaster suite with visual enhancement technologies, including ASUS Tru2Life and TruVivid image-processing technology, usually found on high-end TVs, providing comprehensive visual optimisation.
ZenPad 8.0 features an interchangeable cover design that lets users easily customise their tablet with functional back covers. These can provide extra features and additional colour options.
It is available with LTE/Wi-Fi connectivity and phone functionality (Z380KL) or as a Wi-Fi-only model (Z380C). Both the variants are powered by an Intel Atom X3-C3200 processor and are available in two RAM and storage variants. The 1GB RAM edition offers 8GB for on-board storage while the 2GB edition comes with 16GB storage. On the camera side, the ZenPad 8.0 bundles a 5mp rear and a 2mp front camera.
ZenPad S 8.0 is equipped with a 2K QXGA (1,536x2,048) IPS display with a wide 178-degree viewing angle and an incredible 324ppi pixel density. It is powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor (visible in ZenFone 2's high en models) backed with 4GB of RAM. The tablet also adds USB 3.0 C-Type connectivity.
S 8.0 can be used with the optional Z Stylus, making it the perfect device for creative expression. Designed especially for ZenPad S 8.0, Z Stylus provides a natural writing and drawing experience that is as easy as using a pen. It supports up to 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity and up to a 1.2mm writing tip.
All the ZenPad series tablets integrate DTS Premium Sound technology for an incredible audio experience.
