The Comic Con, since making its entry to India back in Mumbai in 2009, has remained a complete unmissable event for Indian youngsters, and not a surprise, middle-aged people have also made it a point to stamp their entry in the fun fest over the years. Delhi, which has remained one of the most important destinations in India for the comic convention, is doing something unique this time around, with collaboration with WWE India.
The plethora of WWE fans in India, who will be gracing the Alto Delhi Comic Con, scheduled for December 9, 10 and 11 at NSIC Grounds in Okhla, will have a major opportunity to dress up as their favourite WWE superstar and walk into a ramp with the theme of the concerned pro wrestler playing in the background.
Just like you see in Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live or take any WWE pay-per-view event such as Royal Rumble or WrestleMania!
"We are targeting the WWE fans from the country and will give all these fans a chance to experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get into the character of their favourite wrestler. We have built a real wrestling ring at the venue and you can enter into it just like the WWE superstars do after taking a long walk down a specially created ramp, with their theme playing in the background," an organiser told International Business Times, India, on Monday.
"The WWE experience zone will have a grand stage complete with a huge LED wall that virtually makes you a superstar in the WWE Wrestling arena. However, there won't be in-ring fights!" the organiser added.
Comic Con began in 1970 at San Diego, California, when a group of comics, movies and science fiction fans came together to put up an unique convention that discussed nothing but sci-fi movies and everything Batman, Superman and X-Men!
