Fans of the DC/CW shows have been waiting for a long time to learn about Flashpoint on "The Flash" Season 3, and how it will affect "Arrow" Season 5, "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2, and "Supergirl" Season 2. As fans know, "Supergirl" will be airing on the CW from the upcoming season, and to promote this news a new video, titled "The Best Superhero Shows Are on The CW" was released amid the Comic Con 2016 trailers on the CW YouTube channel.
The trailer for "The Flash" has confirmed that we have arrived at Flashpoint, but it seems like it will be a temporary situation. After the initial bliss of seeing his family united, Barry (Grant Gustin) realises that the alternate reality he created by going back in time and saving his mother is only a mirage and nothing more.
In the Season 2 we saw Zoom (Teddy Sears) telling Barry that if not for the difference in their circumstances, Flash would have ended up like Zoom. In this mirage universe, it looks like that is what is happening, especially because his closest friends Joe (Jesse L Martin) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) do not want anything to do with him.

The trailer even ends with the Reverse Flash (Matt Letscher) yelling at Barry, "Now who's the villain, Flash?" It also looks like in this universe, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) is the Kid Flash and Barry is the villainous speedster, or at least comes across as one. All these suggest that the Flashpoint storyline will be tied up at least by the first half of the season. Regardless, it will have long-lasting effects.
David Ramsey of "Arrow" confirmed during a Comic Con 2016 panel that what is going on "The Flash" will have very noticeable effects on his character, John Diggle. "Flash Paradox will have something to do with some of Diggle's reality. If you follow what's happened on '[The] Flash,' he made some changes to the timeline. It will affect Diggle to some degree," said Ramsey.
Ramsey did not elaborate on what these changes will be, but it is safe to assume similar impacts would be felt in the "LoT" and "Supergirl" universes as well.
