Popular actress Upasana Singh, who was a part of Colors' "Comedy Nights Live," made headlines recently when she quit the comedy show. While the actress earlier refused to divulge the reason of her taking the exit route, she has now opened up on why she walked out of "Comedy Nights Live."
In an interview with SpotboyE, Upasana made some shocking revelations regarding her dissatisfaction with the makers of "Comedy Nights Live" (Optimystix). She also said that she felt uncomfortable amid the team of "Comedy Nights Live."
"They ("Comedy Nights Live" team) felt that I was still a part of Kapil Sharma's group. They seem to be anti-Kapil. They used my presence in their team because I was a prominent member in Kapil's team," Upasana said.
"One should work in a place where he/she gets job satisfaction. What is live about Comedy Nights Live? It's Comedy Nights Dead. Besides, Optimystix ditched me on not just the agreement but payment as well. Till date, I have been paid for only 2 days of work when I have worked for 4 months with them. We had mutually agreed on certain clauses 4 months ago, now they have sent me some new clauses to sign upon," she added.
When asked if she will now approach "The Kapil Sharma Show," Upasana, who is currently seen on "Santoshi Maa," said that she is not short of work. "Even before Comedy Nights with Kapil, I have done a good amount of work. I have survived in this industry for a long time and shall always do all my assignments diligently. But yes, I want to tell Optimystix that they are not the only company who provide work to the acting fraternity on Indian television," she said.
It should be mentioned that Upasana, who gained popularity as Bua on "Comedy Nights With Kapil," decided to stay back with Colors to work with Krushna's show when the entire team of "Comedy Nights With Kapil" went on to entertain the viewers in a new show "The Kapil Sharma Show" on Sony Entertainment Television, after their fallout with the Colors team.
