Colors' "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9" is all geared up to hit the small screen from July 30 onwards and will be telecast every Saturday at 10 pm. With this, the timeslot of Colors' "Comedy Nights Bachao," which currently airs on the same timeslot, has been disrupted.
According to reports, "Comedy Night Bachao" has been shifted to Sunday. Not just that, Krushna Abhishek's "Comedy Nights Live," which airs on Sundays, has also undergone a change in the timeslot.
For quite some time now, rumours had been doing the rounds that "Comedy Nights Live" will go off air. Spilling some beans on the rumours and the change in its air timing, Krushna told Mumbai Mirror: "Comedy Nights Bachao will now air on three Sundays a month, while Comedy Nights Live will air on the remaining Sunday slot. Both shows are doing well and rumours of them going off air are baseless and being spread by rivals. We are definitely not scrapping Comedy Nights Live, we don't want people to think it went off after Kapil launched his own show."
However, Krushna asserted that once "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9" wraps up, "Comedy Nights Bachao" will be back to the Saturday time slot. The ace comedian also said that it would have been better if "Comedy Nights Live" got more time than "Comedy Nights Bachao."
"But Jhalak is an equally important property for the channel and we are thankful to them for having given both my shows two primetime weekend slots. Now that they have a new one coming up, we don't mind adjusting and once Jhalak wraps up after four months, I will get my slots back," he added.
Meanwhile, "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9" will see Karan Johar, Ganesh Hegde and Bollywood beautyJacqueline Fernandez as the judges of the season. Manish Paul will reprise his role as the host.
