Swathi Reddy of Colours fame is gearing up to get hitched and the details of her wedding have now been revealed. It is rumoured that the actress may say goodbye to her acting career after her marriage with Vikas.
Her fiance Vikas hails from Jakarta, Indonesia and is an international pilot working with Malaysian Airlines. The couple has been dating for quite some time and they have now decided to take their relationship to the next level. Both their parents have also given their approval to the marriage.
Colours Swathi and Vikas enter the wedlock on August 30 and their marriage ceremony will take place in Hyderabad while the reception will be in Cochin. Assistant director Sreedhar Sri tweeted the couple's photo and confirmed, "#ColoursSwathi wedding will take place in Hyderabad on August 30th with #Vikas (international pilot)..!!!"

Swathi Reddy was born in Vladivostok, Soviet Union (now Russia), when her father, who was an officer in the Indian Navy, was training as a submariner in the Soviet Union. Initially, she was named as Svetlana, but it was later changed to Swathi. Her family moved to Mumbai followed by moving to Visakhapatnam, where she spent most of her childhood.
Swathi moved to Hyderabad after 10th grade and enrolled at St. Mary's College in Yousufguda, Hyderabad. She started her career as a television presenter at the age of 17. She has hosted 150 episodes of the show called Colours from 1996 to 1998. The show was a huge success following which she was nick-named Colours Swathi.
Swathi enrolled for graduation in biotechnology and after completing the first year of her graduation, she made her acting debut in feature films --starting with a supporting role in Danger in 2005. She turned lead actress with the film Tamil hit film Subramaniapuram in 2008.
Swathi Reddy has acted in over 20 movies in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam in the last 10 years. She was last seen in 2017 Telugu film London Babulu. She bagged the best actress award from Filmfare and Nandi Award for her performance in 2008 film Ashta Chamma. She is reportedly not getting offers nowadays.
It is rumoured that Swathi Reddy will settle down with Vikas in Jakarta and will quit acting post their marriage. However, the actress has not made any official announcement about it. It should be seen whether she will continue to act or not.
