The much-awaited Coldplay concert is finally taking place in Mumbai on Saturday, November 19. While fans can't hold their excitement about the event, it turns out that Bollywood celebrities too are eagerly looking forward to the performance of the band and the lead singer, Chris Martin.
Ahead of the event, a grand bash was held on Thursday night for the singer and his team, which was attended by Shah Rukh Khan, AR Rahman, Farhan Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ritesh Sidwani, Vivek Oberoi, Sussanne Khan, Shankar Mahadevan, Loy Mendonsa, Manish Malhotra, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's daughters Jhanvi and Khushi, and Anurag Kashyap's daughter Aaliyah and others, Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) reported.
Chris sported a white T-shirt for the party and was happy to get clicked with the celebrities. Most of the them took to their Twitter handle to share their fan moment with the singer. Shraddha, who has got the opportunity to sing with Chris, tweeted: "1 of the most memorable nights of my life last night. Meeting #ChrisMartin & getting to jam with him,sing & hear him sing!#ColdplayFanForLife."
Parineeti posted a picture of her and Chris along with a caption that read: "HANGING OUT WITH HIM NO BIG DEAL @coldplay #ChrisMartin"
"An amazing evening with the incredible Chris Martin of Coldplay. Great guy, using his voice for humanity," Vivek tweeted.
Coldplay and other international artistes will perform at the concert at the city's MMRDA grounds in Bandra Kurla Complex as part of the Global Citizen Festival India initiative that aims to encourage social changes across the country, including improvement in education, sanitation and clean water. As many as 80,000 fans from across the country will attend the event.
