Tata Zest launch is just around the corner and is being rigorously tested in the country to meet all criteria of a cool car before its launch. The car has been snapped again in the country, this time showing the test mule in high resolution pictures.
Thanks to the good folks at Rushlane for the latest set of spy shots. The test mule of Zest seen in the spy shots shows the car's headlight, front fascia in detail along with tail lights and alloy wheels. Nothing much has been changed from what we have seen in the last set of spy pics, though there are a few new details. The latest set of images also reveals the interior details of the upcoming Zest, which is expected to be on the road during this festive season. Going by the latest report, auto aficionados can steer the wheel of Zest by August.
Zest's power will come from 1.3 litre Quadrajet motor, producing 90 PS power at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm torque at 1,750-3,000 rpm and 1.2 litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged Revotron engine, which can churn out a power of 85 PS at 5,000 rpm and a peak torque of 140 Nm 1,750-3,000 rpm.
Tata Zest, India's first sedan with Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) technologies was first showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014 alongside the Tata's new hatchback Bolt. The car has been on the Indian roads for test since then and many have managed to capture it on camera. Expected to be manufactured at Tata's Ranjangaon facility alongside Tata Manza, Tata's soon-to-be-launched Zest is likely to fall in the ₹6 lakh-₹8 lakh price range.
Besides Zest, Tata is also seen testing its hatchback Bolt in the country. Bolt, will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. While the petrol model of Bolt will come with 1.2 liter Revotron turbo petrol engine which can churn out a power of 84 bhp at 5,000 rpm and a torque of 140 Nm of 1,750-3,500 rpm, the diesel version of the car will pack 1.3 liter Multijet diesel motor. The petrol version of Bolt will get three driving modes – City, Eco and Sport.
