A class 10 student opened fire at his school principal after he was expelled for involvement in a fight with fellow students in Uttar Pradesh. This incident occurred at Shri Sai Inter College of Rooppur in Bijnor district.
The principal, Sanjeev Kumar, sustained severe injuries in his shoulder, according to The Times of India. The 17-year-old student, Deepanshu, is on the run.
The incident occurred when Deepanshu came back to school and his request to be taken back was rejected. Reports say that Deepanshu had gone to the school with his mother. When the principal rejected his request, he dropped his mother back home, came back to school and opened fire.
Deepanshu had joined the school two weeks back and was previously in Priyanka School of Management in where he failed his class 10th boards and was expelled.
Deepanshu was known for his violent behaviour and interaction with fellow classmates. Soon after joining Shri Sai Inter College of Rooppur, he had thrashed a fellow student which left the student severely injured.
"I had warned him several times but my warning and advice had fallen on his deaf ears. He did not agree to change his behaviour. And he was spoiling a peaceful and disciplined atmosphere of the school. After consulting with the management, I expelled him and informed his family members," the principal said.
