Clash of Clans, the popular tower defence video game from developer Supercell, that recently unfurled the details of its upcoming Town Hall 11 update has received an optional update exclusively to iOS owners of Clash of Clans.
Bono's AIDS-fighting organisation (RED) has partnered with several apps in Apple's App Store, including Clash of Clans, where players can buy RED (pile of gems) from the in-game shop and "100% of proceeds go to (RED)'s fight against AIDS," said a Supercell forum post. This update will be available to players until 4 December.
Clash of Clans owners on iOS can help in the fight against AIDS as the world tried to contain the rise in the number of AIDS cases, from Africa to China. The recent disclosure from US TV personality Charlie Sheen made more people wary. The world is celebrating 1 December as World AIDS Day.
Additionally, Boom Beach, another game from Supercell too is having a similar optional update for iOS users. Players can support it by buying RED (pile of diamonds) from the in-game shop. Here too 100% of the proceeds will go to RED's AIDS fight. It too will be available until 4 December.
Meanwhile, RED has also partnered with Snapchat, offering its users three special photo filters on World AIDS Day, each time a users takes a Snap and sends it, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will be donating $3 to fight against AIDS.
