"Clash of Clans," the popular mobile strategy video game from developer Supercell, announced the release of a new May update, calling it a "small balancing update," which was much-needed for the game.
With the May update, players can expect changes regarding the increase in matchmaking search timeouts for the top players, and decreasing the time required for players to get their full armies ready. Many other game balances were outlined for "Clash of Clans" on its official blog post.
The post also lists the following changes that are part of the May update:
- 2x faster brewing for all Spells
- 2x faster training for Dragon, Witch and Wall Breaker
- 3x faster training for Golem, Lava Hound and P.E.K.K.A
- Hugely reduced Hero regeneration times
- Faster training also for Balloon, Wizard, Healer, Valkyrie and Bowler
- Game balance
It is interesting to note that Supercell is focusing on "full and well-balanced armies." The developer wants players to battle with such armies.
The developer on its part is helping this by boosting the army build-up by providing 4x speed boost and assured players that training these armies will not take hours like it previously did.
The May update also makes tweaks to Bowler. Now Bowler attacks at a faster rate after reaching his target. Previously, it was observed that the Bowler would land softly on his target. The Bowler change comes close to similar changes to Valkyrie.
The update raises the maximum search timeout for rivals from the present five minutes to 30 minutes. This, as mentioned earlier, will help players who have higher Trophy count than the rest. Such players had to hit "Retry" button after 5-minute matchmaking timeout.
The update has gone live in most countries.
