People all over the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ as Christmas every year on December 25. The religious leader was born to Joseph and Mary in a manger in Bethlehem as they couldn't find shelter in any inn. Many artistes depict this scene through beautiful paintings.
Exhibiting the nativity scene is very common as part of Christmas celebrations, with the statues of infant Jesus, Mary, Joseph, shepherds, sheeps, cows, angel and three wise men. Now, a few photos and video of a modern crib have surfaced online that give a twist to the traditional nativity scene.
In the hipster styled crib, Joseph is seen taking a selfie with the infant Jesus and pout-faced Mary, who wears an off-shoulder t-shirt and carries a coffee cup. The stable where they are seen has solar panels on its roof. It also features a teenage shepherd wearing jeans, and using an iPad to capture the moments next to a 100 percent organic cow and sheep.
The three wise men, who arrived in Jerusalem to offer gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh to Jesus, are depicted arriving on the spot on Segway scooters in trendy outfits, carrying cardboard boxes from Amazon.
The Facebook page of LAD Bible has shared the video of the modern take of the Christmas crib and it has gone viral on social media. It has been viewed over 2.4 million within 21 hours of hitting the internet.
The nativity scene, featuring seven 100 percent hand-painted figurines made of polyresin, is available for $129.99 on Amazon.
