Megastar Chiranjeevi's niece Niharika Konidela is all set to make her acting debut in the Telugu and Tamil film industries with directors Rama Raju and Ayodhya Kumar's forthcoming films.
Mega family members like Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Allu Sirish, Sai Dharam Tej and Varun Tej made successful debut as heroes in Tollywood. But not a single girl from the family has entered the film industry as a heroine. Now, Niharika is all set to break the tradition.
Reports suggest that Niharika recently signed up to play the female lead in "Mallela Theeram Lo Sirimalle Puvvu" fame director Rama Raju. Much before kick-starting the shooting of her debut movie, she reportedly gave her consent for Ayodhya Kumar's next film.
Kumar made his debut as director with "Minugurulu" in 2014. The movie went on to become one of the most critically acclaimed Telugu movies of the year. Now, he is making a comeback with his second movie, which will be a bilingual film, simultaneous made in Tamil and Telugu.
It is reported that director Ayodhya Kumar recently narrated a story to Niharika, who was impressed with it. "Niharika heard the script with her father Naga Babu, and apparently both of them liked it. Niharika will have a very prominent role. This project will mark her Tamil debut as well," The Times of India quoted a source as saying.
Niharika started her career as a host of TV shows, which made her famous and got her some fans among the family audience. She is said to be romancing Naga Shourya in her debut movie and will start working on Ayodhya Kumar's project soon after completing Rama Raju's movie.
