The release plans for Megastar Chiranjeevi's comeback movie Khaidi No 150 has been revealed. Well, the much-awaited Telugu movie will hit the screens during Sankranthi festival in January 2017.
The news has been announced by Chirajeevi's son and actor Ram Charan Teja, who is turning producer with Khaidi No 150. Shooting for the Telugu film is on track as per plans and 70 per cent of the filming has been completed.
As a result, they want to release the movie in January 2017 during Sankranthi festival. The exact date of the release has not been revealed yet. The shooting is expected to be completed in November.
Khaidi No 150 is a remake of hit Tamil movie Kaththi starring Vijay, Samantha and Neil Nitin Mukesh. VV Vinayak is directing the movie, which has Kajal Aggarwal and Shriya Saran in the female lead roles. Writers Paruchuri Brothers, Sai Madhav Burra and Akula Siva, who have worked on the script, have made several changes in its screenplay to suit Chiru's image and Telugu viewers' taste.
The original story was written and directed by AR Murugadoss, who is also returning to Telugu industry with Mahesh Babu's next film. The film revolves around the nexus of politicians, businessmen and media.
In short, the movie narrates how a petty thief takes on powerful establishment. Kaththi is one of the biggest hits in Tamil cinema and the expectations are sky-high from the Telugu version as well.
