Chiranjeevi meets village singer Baby: Footage of emotional meeting goes viral [Video]

Megastar Chiranjeevi, who is busy shooting for Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, took some time out to meet singer Baby at his residence and the footage of this emotional meeting has gone viral on the internet. [Slide down to watch the video]

Singer Baby hails from Varisaaleru (Vadisaleru), Rangampeta mandal, East Godavari district. She is an agriculture labourer and she does not have any musical background or any knowledge of music. Her friend named Rani heard her song and uploaded it on YouTube a month ago. The song named 'Oh Cheliya' was an instant hit among music lovers, making her a new sensation on social media.

She cannot read, but her melodious voice mesmerised music lovers and proved her to be a remarkable singer. Many hailed her as a natural singer. She hogged the limelight when BBC Telugu did a live with her on its Facebook page. She also received congratulatory messages from popular musicians like Koti and RP Patnaik, who assured her growth in the industry.

Going a step ahead, music director Koti invited singer Baby to sing in his programme Bol Baby Bol. He also went on to introduce her to megastar Chiranjeevi, who received her with a lot of warmth over the weekend and lauded her singing skills. His wife Sureka, who also present there on the occasion, treated her with a lot of warmth.

In one of the videos, the overjoyed singer is seen falling to his feet and a lot of devotion and humbleness is seen in her gesture. The megastar is seen making her comfortable with his attitude and making her sit on the sofa adjacent him. The footage also shows musician Koti present on the occasion and sitting next to the actor.

Hailing from humble beginnings, Chiranjeevi has gone on to become one of most popular actors and politicians in the Telugu states. He is known for his simplicity and down-to-earth nature. In the video, he is seen saying, "My wife watched your video and was impressed with it. She told that you are manikya (ruby) lying in some distant place." The singer is seen folding her hands in respect to his appreciation.
