The latest buzz is that Kunchacko Boban and Rima Kallingal will share screen space for an upcoming comedy film, which is reportedly inspired by the character Ambujakshan in the 1996 film "Azhakiya Ravanan".
In "Azhakiya Ravanan", Sreenivasan played the character Ambujakshan, a self proclaimed novelist, who wished to make a film based on his novel "Chirakodinja Kinavukal".
The latest reports suggest that Kunchacko–Rima starrer is titled as "Chirakondinja Kinavukal" and the role of Ambujakshan is reportedly played by Sreenivasan himself.
The upcoming film will be directed by Santhosh Vishwanathan and is touted as a complete entertainer.
"We are planning to treat the story in an entirely different manner. The out and out entertainer has so many surprises in store for the audience. The movie has a different story and will have all the commercial elements. Kunchacko and Rima will sport a new look in it. I cannot reveal all the details. But I can assure you that it will be a fun ride," said Vishwanathan to The Times of India.
Malayalam film lovers will be able to see Rima and Kunchacko's chemistry on screen for the first time in this flick. Rima, who was busy with the inauguration and promotions of her dance school, 'Mamangam' is now back to the screen after a gap of nearly a year. She was last seen in "Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal", which gained lukewarm response from the audience. Rima has also signed a film with her husband and director Aashiq Abu.
For Kunchacko, his last release was "Bhaiyya Bhaiyya" along with Biju Menon, which failed to make a mark at the box office. He is currently shooting for "Cousins" directed by Vyshakh. The film also has Indrajith, Joju George and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead.
The shooting of "Chirakodinja Kinavukal" is expected to kick start by November and its locations are Kochi and Thodupuzha.
