Famous Chinese rooftop climber Wu Yongning has died while performing one of his daredevil stunts. He unwittingly recorded his death on camera when he was falling from a 62-storey skyscraper in Changsha, China.

The thrill-seeking star, who had many followers on various social media sites, reportedly died on November 8. But his death was only recently confirmed by his girlfriend Jin Jin in a post on a Chinese social media platform.
Besides gaining popularity on social media, the 26-year-old used rooftopping challenges to earn money as well.
One of his family members told Chinese newspaper Xiaoxiang Morning Herald that Wu was participating in the rooftopping challenge for 100,000 yuan (£11,300/ $15,000) prize money.
No other detail was provided about the particular competition and its sponsor.
According to The Beijing News, Jin Jin said that Wu planned to ask her parents' permission for their wedding just the day after the stunt.
His step-uncle also told the South China Morning Post, "He planned to propose to his girlfriend. He needed the money for the wedding, and for medical treatment for his ailing mother."
But his sudden death drew the curtain on everything.

The reason behind the Chinese Daredevil's increasing popularity was — he used to do all of his stunts without any safety equipment. And, this certainly led to Wu's tragic death.
Wu did more than 300 such fearless stunts as posted on Weibo. And, he used to earn 55,000 yuan for each of his performances.
Each of his social media post used to come along with a disclaimer which prompted a safety warning to the viewers as not to imitate his dangerous performances.
Wu was trained in martial arts and had previously taken part in some television and film productions as well.
