A Chinese chartered aircraft with nine people aboard made an emergency landing in the Tripura capital on Thursday after it developed a technical snag, an official said.
The private aircraft - with five crew members and four passengers - was heading to Chinese capital city Beijing from Delhi, the Airports Authority of India official said.
"The plane developed a technical snag while flying over Agartala. The pilot sought permission from air traffic control to make an emergency landing, which was granted," the official said.
The aircraft's occupants, part of a business delegation, were allowed to stay in Agartala by the Kolkata-based regional passport office till their plane gets repaired.
