The Chhattisgarh police reportedly seized 1,750kg explosive, meant for Maoists, and arrested seven persons in Bastar district on Friday.
On 15 September, police have seized a truck carrying 24 tonne explosives near Sardarpur in the neighbouring state of Madhya Pradesh.
Naxalites have carried out several attacks on security forces, deployed for combing operation in the restive region.
On 4 September, a commandant of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was critically injured in one such Naxal ambush at a local marketplace in Bastar.
In August, a Special Task Force (STF) jawan was killed and another injured in an IED blast carried out by Maoists in the district.
