Cheryl Cole left her fans shocked when she married her French boyfriend Jean Bernard on July 7 in a secret ceremony. The couple said "I do" in an intimate family gathering as per reports.
"I usually do not discuss my personal life but to stop the speculation I want to share my happy news... Jean-Bernard and I married on 7/7/14.. We are very happy and excited to move forward with our lives together," Cole announced her wedding to Bernard on Facebook. She also posted a picture of her ring.
The couple reportedly wed on a beach in Mustique in front of only four guests. Cole met Bernard just three months ago at the Cannes Film Festival.
The singer would be appearing as judge in the next season of "X-Factor" after being dismissed from the US version of the show in 2011. Earlier this month Cole even confessed that creator Simon Cowell did the right thing by removing her from the show.
"I wasn't well in the head when that was going on, so it wasn't going to work," she threw light on why she was sacked. But she has evidently moved on.
"I'm just enjoying finding out who I am. That's good enough right now.I know I'm really lucky because none of what I've been through broke me. It actually taught me everything I'm going to need for the rest of my life," Cole told OK! according to BBC.
Meanwhile, before tying the knot with Bernard, Cole was married to footballer Ashley Cole. The couple pulled the plug on their relationship after Ashley allegedly cheated on the singer.
She was also understood to have been in a relationship with professional dancer Derek Hough and backing dancer Tre Holloway. Buzz has it that she has also dated her personal trainer Steve Uria .
"Seeing a lot of fabricated stories on this.. One a great friend the other a married man.. Do they look alike to you ??" she said about a photo which led to relationship rumors with Uria, adding, "I mean these ppl are nuts ! @joelcompass last week.. Who's next? Roll up, roll up!.. To the fictional writers #shouldvegonetospecsavers #thatisall. Have a nice day peeps."
