Chennaiyin FC will be taking on Delhi Dynamos in match no. 45 of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2015 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Marina Arena in Chennai on Tuesday.
The Super Machans will be looking to continue with the momentum that they gained from their last encounter with Kerala Blasters in which they thrashed the latter 4-1 at the home ground.
On the other hand, Delhi Dynamos have been in good form as well and they would want to displace Atletico de Kolkata from the top of the ISL 2015 points table.
But Chennaiyin FC head coach Marco Materazzi is aware of the fact that Delhi Dynamos will not be an easy team to beat on Tuesday.
"I think that even though they [Delhi Dynamos] are not desperate for a win, they will do what they did till now. They will play for a win as they always do. Also, they would surely benefit from a win because if NorthEast beat Goa [on Wednesday], they would succeed them. They have been a very good team. They have conceded very few goals. I can tell that it [winning over them] won't be easy," Materazzi told the reporters at the press conference on Monday ahead of the clash against Delhi Dynamos.
Meanwhile, Delhi Dynamos head coach Roberto Carlos just wants to collect three points from this match against the Super Machans and inch closer to that semi final stage. The Brazilian legend is not worried about the kind of form Delhi Dynamos were in the last season of the ISL but he wants them to prove their worth in the ISL 2015.
"I am not really worried about what happened last season. They did their best; however, they couldn't get to the playoffs. These 18 points speak for the whole group, and not just for certain players. We have a great team and a great family," Carlos told the reporters on Monday.
"In such a balanced league like this, I am not really worried about the standings. A lot of times, the best team of the season does not become the champion. I want to get to the playoffs, so I am thinking just about that."
