In a shocking incident that came to light late on Wednesday morning (May 31), a 32-year-old employee of Infosys was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside his office toilet in Mahindra World City near Chennai.

The deceased has been identified as Ilayaraja Arunachalam, a native of Villupuram. "One of our employees was found dead in the office building early in the morning on Wednesday. We have identified him, but cannot divulge any details since the police is investigating the case," said an Infosys spokesperson.
While the police are suspecting it to be a case of murder, they are waiting for the autopsy reports to confirm the cause of his death.
According to media reports, Ilayaraja's dead body was discovered by the employees who rushed him to the Chengalpet General Hospital where he was declared dead.
"This is when we got a call saying an Infosys employee had died. He was found in the dormitory or some sort of a room where employees can take rest. He was not wearing any clothes and there were two bed sheets on him," the investigating officer said. There are no marks of injury on his body, he added.
Ilayaraja had gone to office on Monday but he did not return home. The next day his wife filed a complaint with the police. The deceased had a private cabin at his office.
Earlier, on January 29, K Rasila Raju, a 25-year-old woman infosys software engineer from Kerala was found dead at the software firm's Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park office in the Hinjawadi area of Pune. Later, investigation revealed that a security guard had murdered her for scolding him.
