Chemical freight train plunges into Chile river after bridge collapses
A freight train has plunged into the Tolten river, Chile, after a bridge dating back to 1898 collapsed. Pitrufquen Mayor Humberto Catalan said around 197 feet of the iron bridge had been destroyed, and a Chilean TV station reported that six carriages carrying sodium hydroxide, chlorate and oil had fallen into the river. It is unclear if the chemicals have leaked into the water.
