With the summer transfer window now open, Chelsea will be looking to make a number of signings as Jose Mourinhos team seek to retain their Premier League title. IBTimes UK sports reporter Tony Mogan takes a look at who the club might be looking to sign ahead of the new season.
Mourinho was ruthless last summer in his pursuit of players to galvanise his squad, with the purchase of Spain internationals Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas proving a masterstroke in helping the Blues to win their first league title for five years.

But so far this summer it has been all quiet on the West London front. The biggest transfer news so far has been Petr Cechs departure to Chelseas London rivals Arsenal, with no major faces arriving in Stamford Bridge.
One player that does seem bound for the Blues is Manchester United flop Radamel Falcao. The Colombian striker flattered to deceive while on loan at Old Trafford, notching up only four goals in 26 appearances. But if Mourinho can reignite the spark that saw Falcao play so well Atletico Madrid, when he played up front with Diego Costa, then it could well prove to be one of the most inspired signings of the summer.
The biggest name linked with the Blues at the moment is Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba. The France international is rumoured to have caught the eye of a number of major clubs, including Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona. Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has spoken of his admiration for Chelseas Brazilian playmaker Oscar, sparking speculation that an unlikely player swap could be on the cards.
A much more probable, if less exciting, move by the club would be for Stoke Citys Asmir Begovic as a replacement for Cech. Mourinho is seeking a formidable deputy for his first choice keeper Thibaut Courtois, with Bosnian international Begovic fitting the mould. But would he give up first team football at Stoke to play a bit-part role for the Premier League champions?
