Chelsea will reportedly be doing some serious business in the transfer market this summer once they have handed Jose Mourinho a new contract.
Mourinho, who returned to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2013, is reportedly going to be offered an additional two years on his current £12 million-a-year deal at Chelsea following a successful season that has seen the Blues complete a double by winning the Capital One Cup and the English Premier League title.
And once the Portuguese's contract has been extended, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will reportedly make funds available so that Mourinho can further strengthen his squad this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
Despite the former Real Madrid boss finding a lot of success with his current squad this season, he is reportedly in the hunt for a new goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and forward this summer, as he targets the Champions League crown next season.
Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann, Olympique Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette, Getafe keeper Vicente Guaita and Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane are believed to be the main targets for Chelsea this summer.
In order to adhere to UEFA's Financial Fair play regulations, Chelsea are expected to sell some of their players to make way for the new signings.
Petr Cech is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this season as he has stated he cannot spend another season as the second-choice goalkeeper behind Thibaut Courtois at Chelsea.
Arsenal and Liverpool have reportedly expressed an interested in the 32-year-old, but Cech is likely to join an overseas club as the Blues might not be willing to sell him to their Premier League rivals.
