Chelsea are reportedly edging closer to landing up PSV Eindhoven's teen sensation Zakaria Bakkali.
The 18-year-old, dubbed "the new Eden Hazard", is rated highly in Holland and has been linked to several big clubs in Europe. The winger will be out of contract at the end of the season and has refused to enter negotiations with the Dutch outfit so far, opening up the possibilities of a move abroad soon.
According to the Express, Chelsea are now in the clear to sign Bakkali, after seeing off competition from fellow suitors Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Barcelona. Jose Mourinho is understood to be keen to snap up the youngster soon, and could make an offer when the January transfer window opens.
The report adds that though the Belgium international knows about the massive interest in him from all over Europe, he is also angling towards a move to Stamford Bridge as he wants to work under Mourinho.
If the moves goes through in January, Chelsea will reportedly loan Bakkali back to PSV, allowing the player to spend the rest of the season in the Eredivisie itself.
Bakkali has been under the spotlight since he scored three goals in PSV's 5-0 win over NEC Nijmegen in August last year - in his second ever league match - to become the youngest player to score at hat-trick in Eredivisie history.
The 18-year-old, who chose to represent Belgium over Morocco, is also the youngest player in the Red Devils' national team now.
In other Chelsea news, club captain John Terry expressed his delight after his daughter Summer made her debut for the Blues U9s at the weekend.
"I am so proud of Summer for signing for Chelsea U9s and playing her first game in a Chelsea shirt just like Daddy. Chelsea won 12-2 and Summer scored to top off a great day," the former England skipper posted on Instagram.
