Chelsea have finally parted ways with Jose Mourinho. The announcement did not shock many of the Chelsea fans after their club's poor run of form in the ongoing season of the English Premier League 2015-2016 season.
Twitter trolled the sacked manager heavily on Thursday evening after the official statement was revealed on Chelsea's official website.
The defending champions of the English Premier League are reeling near the relegation zone in the points table. They are just one point clear from that danger zone. Chelsea under the reign of Mourinho in the current season, have lost nine out of 16 league games. There were several other reasons that made him the 'bad man' at the Stamford Bridge. Be it his banter with Eva Carneiro or his bitter relationship with Diego Costa, we have seen it all in this season.
The news came as one of the biggest sacking of this year, but Chelsea Football Club only had good things to say.
"Chelsea Football Club and Jose Mourinho have today parted company by mutual consent. All at Chelsea thank Jose for his immense contribution since he returned as manager in the summer of 2013.
"His three league titles, FA Cup, Community Shield and three League Cup wins over two spells make him the most successful manager in our 110-year history. But both Jose and the board agreed results have not been good enough this season and believe it is in the best interests of both parties to go our separate ways.
"The club wishes to make clear Jose leaves us on good terms and will always remain a much-loved, respected and significant figure at Chelsea."
