Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar's "Manmarziyan" shooting, which was halted earlier, will resume soon as a new director has been hired for the project. "Nil Battey Sannata" director Ashwiny Iyer replaced previous director Sameer Sharma in this project.
Earlier, it was reported that producer Aanand L Rai and Sameer were facing some creative differences, thus the shooting was called off. Aanand reportedly asked the director to leave the film as he was not happy with Sameer's direction.
According to a recent report, Sameer left the project after reaching a mutual decision with the producer. "I have immense respect for Aanand and we are in touch. Yes our creative vision didn't match and such things happen in filmmaking. I would love to collaborate with him in future on another project," Sameer told Deccan Chronicle.
Also, a source close to Aanand informed the leading daily that the duo mutually decided to part ways on this project. "Sameer is not directing the film now and the decision was mutual. It was a creative call and both agreed to it," the source said.
Fans are eagerly waiting to see Ayushmann and Bhumi on-screen again. They have earlier won hearts with their chemistry in "Dum Laga Ke Haisha" that has recently bagged the National Award for Best Hindi film.
This will be Bhumi's second film in Bollywood and she will appear in her leaner avatar in this film. Meanwhile, Ayushmann is working on Yash Raj Films' "Meri Pyaari Bindu" as well. He will play a Bengali guy, who will fall in love with a Tamil girl, played by Parineeti Chopra.
