Zenit St. Petersburg will look to take advantage of their home form when the Russian side host Austria Wien in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Luciano Spalletti's men went down 3-1 to Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon on Matchday One but will be confident of picking up their first win in the Champions League against the side from Vienna.
Zenit have a pretty good record at home, having lost just one of 23 home games in European competition, and Spalletti is looking to continue that good run against Austria Wien, who were unlucky to go down 1-0 to FC Porto in their first Champions League match of the season.
"I've seen how Austria play," Spalletti said. "In their first group game they lost to Porto but deserved to win -- they played better. They are a strong team with technical players who play at pace.
"In our first half against Atletico there were no dangerous situations except for the corner (from which the Spanish side scored), so the tactic with three central defenders was justified. In the second half, when we regrouped and changed formation, we conceded two goals and our opponents caused us a lot of problems."
Spalletti said he might make a few changes to his side with the busy schedule ahead. "We have a busy schedule and we will decide the composition based on our training sessions," the Italian added. "Sometimes it happens that players show a strong desire to play a particular match.
"The attitude and spirit of the team has been very good recently, everyone is showing great commitment. If we maintain this, we'll be able to turn around the situation that has developed with Russian teams at European level."
Austria Wien manager Nenad Bjelica is expecting a similar game to the one experienced against Porto, but hopes to come away with a more positive result this time around.
"In a sense the game will be similar to the match with Porto -- both teams have great players, but all will become clear only during the game itself," he said.
Team News: Roman Shirokov could be set for a return from injury for Zenit, but Spalletti said he will not rush the player's comeback. "We will assess his condition," Spalletti said. "We don't have to hurry, we have a large number of players available."
Austria Wien are in a lot more trouble when it comes to injuries, with Alexander Grunwald, Alexander Gorgon, Marko Stankovic, Kaja Rogulj and Emir Dilaver all ruled out. Thomas Murg and Daniel Royer, though, return for the Austrian side.
