Television couple Mohit Raina and Mouni Roy, who has never admitted to their relationship in public, often showers praise on each other about work on social media. Recently, Mouni shared a picture of Mohit's look from "Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat" on her Twitter handle with love-struck smileys. Later, Mohit too showered compliments on Mouni's hosting skills on dance-based reality show "So You Think You Can Dance."
Recently, in an interview with Asian Age, Mohit praised Mouni on her work and her recently concluded successful show "Naagin." "We both work for the same channel, so I am in touch with Mouni. I am told that her show Naagin has garnered a TRP rating of around 5-6 and I will try and match the same. I have only managed to catch a couple of episodes of her show and she was great," he said.
A few months ago, there were reports that things were not well between Mouni and Mohit, who shared screen space in "Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev." The rumoured couple, dating for the past few years now, was apparently getting involved in regular arguments over Mouni's apparent closeness to her "Naagin" co-star Arjun Bijlani. Mouni later refuted the reports claiming if Arjun wasn't her co-star he would have been her brother.
Talking about his work, Mohit revealed that he loves to do larger-than-life roles. "I search for thrill in my characters because I am a 'boring person'. Also, I admire the hardships that Ashoka had to go through to reach the throne. So I am very fortunate that I get to do meaningful roles on the screen," he said.
Although "Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat" is loved by millions of viewers worldwide, the show, which was expected to take the TRP charts by storm with the introduction of Mohit as emperor Ashoka after the leap, hasn't witnessed a major difference in its ratings.
