Television actress Chahatt Khanna Mirza, who was expecting her first child with husband Farhan Mirza, delivered a baby girl on Sept. 9. She was admitted to a childcare multi-specialty hospital at Santa Cruz in Mumbai.
Elated with the birth of the baby, Farhan, a businessman, told the Times of India, "The mother and the baby are doing fine. I am overwhelmed with emotions. We have named our girl Zohar Mirza, which means the light of God."
Chahatt, who is best remembered as Ayesha on the popular show "Bade Achhe Lagte Hain" and Nida in "Qubool Hai," shared an adorable picture of her baby on her Instagram account and captioned it as, "Here arrives my royalty.. unleashing our happiness #Baby #Zohar."
A few months ago, Chahatt's friends from the industry, including Vahbbiz Dorabjee and Tanvi Thakkar, had surprised her with a baby shower. The gorgeous actress had shared some pictures from the party on her Instagram page where she was seen glowing in a black dress.
This is Chahatt's second marriage. The actress was earlier married to businessman Bharat Narsinghani. However, the actress called it quits within seven months of the marriage after reportedly falling victim to domestic abuse.
TV actresses Kanchi Kaul, Sweta Salve, Hritu Dudani and Roshni Chopra have also delivered babies this year.
