Donald Trump Jr recently shared a world map with a "red wave" covering most countries, suggesting almost the entire world is rooting for Trump's victory. In the world map, for some reason, even Antarctica was shaded red, which started a humorous meme-fest with netizens sharing memes about penguins voting for Trump. That might have been all in fun, the latest discovery is far from it.
Voter fraud is a serious offense and it looks like the US elections haven't been spared this year too. As concerns were raised about electoral malpractice concerning absentee mail-in voting, a Twitter user shared voting records that show dead people casting their votes in Michigan.
Voter fraud?
Twitter user Essential Fleecas shared screenshots of details about a voter named William Bradley, who was born in 1902 and voted via an absentee ballot in the city of Detroit. However, the US Social Security Death Index shows, Bradley died in 1984. If alive, Bradley would be 118 years old, replacing the oldest living American Hester Ford, who is 116, US media reported.
The same user shared another instance of a voter named June Aiken, born in 1900, who voted via absentee ballot in Jackson County, Michigan. Also, another voter named Donna Brydges, born 1901, cast her vote via absentee ballot in Mason County, Michigan.
In a separate report by the New York Post, one Frances Reckhow, a registered Democrat, voted via absentee ballot and the Board of Elections approved it. Like other cases above, Reckhow was born in 1915 and died in 2012.
It is not clear how much of an impact fake absentee ballots have had on the final count, but it sure raises the alarms. US President Donald Trump on Wednesday said that the 2020 presidential election was a "fraud being committed on the American public", adding that he will go to the US Supreme Court to challenge Tuesday night's outcome.
