Celkon announced a new 4G-enabled handset in India to take advantage of the country's fast growing budget smartphone segment. Celkon Diamond Q4G Plus is the new handset that offers premium looks at a reasonable price.
Celkon Diamond Q4G Plus is sold online exclusive via Amazon India for Rs 6,369. Available in gold and grey colours, the new handset will be joining a compact market of similarly-priced models from other companies like Intex Cloud Jewel (Rs 5,999), Xolo Era 4K (Rs 6,499), Micromax Canvas Spark 3 (Rs 4,999) and Reliance Lyf Flame 1 (Rs 6,490).
In terms of specifications, the Diamond Q4G Plus doesn't offer anything out of the box, but it matches its rivals on many fronts. It features a 5-inch IPS display with 1280x720 pixel screen and 294ppi. The budget smartphone sports an 8MP primary camera with LED flash and a 3.2MP front snapper.
Celkon Diamond Q4G Plus is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek processor and 1GB RAM. There's 8GB internal storage on the device, which can be expanded up to an additional 32GB via microSD card. The handset packs a 2200mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Like most of its rivals, the Diamond Q4G Plus supports 4G LTE and has dual-SIM slots. It supports both FDD 1800MHz (Band 3) and TDD 2300MHz (Band 40) LTE bands. Standard connectivity options, such as Wi-Fi, micro USB, Bluetooth 4.0 and hotspot, are included alongside gravity, proximity, light and hall sensors.
Celkon has a wide range of affordable smartphones, feature phones and tablets listed on its online store.
