Two-time Oscar winner George Clooney is finally renouncing his oath of bachelorhood by marrying human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin in an extravagant four-day wedding in Italy.
Over hundred Hollywood stars are expected to celebrate the moment when the 53 Year Old actor is getting hitched to his 36 years Lebanon-born British Barristor fiancé.
From the frenetic Grand Canal to the tranquil island of Giudecca, Venice was looking even more like a film set than usual on Friday as it puts the finishing touches on preparations for the most glamorous celebrity wedding of the year, The Guardian reported.
Clooney and Alamuddin were also spotted taking a boat down the Grand Canal in Venice, a day before the wedding.
The couple arrived in Venice on Friday for their weekend wedding extravaganza at a Venice water taxi stop by bus, accompanied by a small group of guests including the groom's parents, as well as Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber, who is set to be best man at the wedding.
Many Hollywood celebrities, including Clooney's cousin Miguel Ferrer, Matt Damon, Ellen Barkin and Richard Kind were seen in the premises of the wedding venue and in the exclusive water taxis that were arranged for the guests to be transported to the seven-star Aman Canal Grande Hotel, a fresco-filled palazzo, which the pair reportedly reserved for the exchange-of-vows ceremony and reception on Saturday, 27 September.
While Clooney and Alamuddin have not publicly divulged details of the celebrations, Venice city officials have announced the closure of a 50-meter length of pedestrian way along the famed Grand Canal, where the Cavalli Palace is located, for two hours on Monday.
