After Malayalam megastar Mammootty posted a list of people willing to provide accomodation to stranded people in Chennai on Facebook, the actor has been lauded by many social media users.
Many misunderstood the actor's Facebook post after seeing the part, "Anyone stuck in Annanagar, arumbakkam Aminjikarai, mmda colony, choolaimadu or any other area are welcome to my house, please be my guest. Can pick up people from nungambakkan station, arumbakkam metro station or anna arch, No restriction on no as i have lots of Mats to sleep, power for essential and enough food, brijesh - 9962400760".
Without noticing that it was a forward message and the help was put forward by a person named Brijesh, people started lauding the actor for being a good Samaritan for Chennaites.
Interestingly, even popular media houses reports claimed that Mammootty showed such a kind gesture by providing accomodation at his own house in Chennai.

Among the film fraternity, actor Siddharth and Kaniha have been actively helping the victims in Chennai, and many other stars have already donated a huge sum of money to the Tamil Nadu relief fund.
Meanwhile, Mammootty is currently in London, where he is shooting for Uday Ananthan's upcoming film "White" with Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi.
