Popular Malayalam playback singer Najim Arshad, 29, got married to dentist Thazni Thaha in Punalur on Sunday, 13 September. 

A grand reception was arranged for the celebs of Mollywood at IMA Hall Kaloor in Kochi on Thursday, 17 September.

The event was attended by actors and singers of the industry, including Sujatha Mohan, Anju Joseph, Afsal, Vidhu Prathap, Deepthi Prasad, Franco, Ranjini Jose, Ranjini Haridas, Gopi Sunder, Edavela Babu, Remya Nambeeshan, Gayatri Asokan, Rosin Jolly, Vaikom Vijayalakshmi, Teenu Tellence, Vivekanandan, Mridula Warrier, Ouseppachan, directors Lal Jose and Siddique among many others.

Najim rose to fame after he won the Idea Star Singer title during its second season and soon made a mark in the industry by rendering his voice for some of the hit songs in Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi films. 

Some of his popular songs include "Thotte Thotte" (Diamond Necklace), "Kanninullil Nee Kanmani" (Trivandrum Lodge) and "Mavelikku shesham" (Vellimoonga) among others.

Najim's wife Thazni aka Kiki completed her BDS course in Bangalore. The couple met each other in January 2014 and the marriage was extended for one-and-a-half-year to let Thazni complete her studies.
