An Indian Army jawan was reported injured in unprovoked firing in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district in Jammu & Kashmir on Thursday in yet another ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops even as the two nations held a high-level discussion over the issue in New Delhi.
The Indian forces retaliated appropriately against the unprovoked firing, ANI reported.
The latest gun-battle comes even as India's Border Security Force (BSF) holds director general-level talks with Pakistan Rangers to address the issue of continuous ceasefire violations along the International Border and the Line of Control (LoC).
On Thursday, Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) director general Major General Umar Farooq Burki led a 15-member Pakistani delegation for talks with the 23-member Indian team, headed by BSF DG DK Pathak.
Two BSF personnel were wounded in a firing in Nowgam sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, while a civilian was killed and four others injured in indiscriminate shelling by Pakistani forces at the LoC in Poonch on Monday.
