The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday declared Class XII results for all regions which recorded a total pass percentage of 80.19 per cent.
Interestingly, girls have outperformed boys at a pass rate of 86.21 percent, while the boys have scored a pass percentage at 75.8, the Times of India said.
Chennai has reportedly performed the best amongst other regions across the country, securing a 90.59 pass percentage, which is a marginal dip from the previous year's 91.32 percent.
A total of 8,15,749 had applied for the examination this year, which is a 5.94 percent increase in the number of candidates compared to last year.
Students who appeared for the examination in March this year can view the results on the on the following websites: www.results.nic.in, www.cbseresults.nic.in and www.cbse.nic.in. Students also have the provision to get their results on their individual email IDs by logging to the websites using their individual email IDs.
CBSE schools can also access the overall results of each student by registering on the official website using the school code and the school email ID.

The results are also available via Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS), where each call will cost Rs 0.30 per minute. Students can dial the following numbers listed and are they are required to provide their roll numbers in order to get access to their results:

The results can also be sent via short message service (SMS), where the student needs to send the prescribed code listed below for the service provider. The rates for each SMS sent will cost 0.50.

The Board has also provided for a post-exam counseling program whereby students and parents can dial in a toll free 1800 180 3456. The service is available from 8 a.m. to midnight and will operate until June 7.
These provisions are made in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC) for telephone, SMS and Internet services.
The CBSE declared class X results of Chennai region on May 21 with a pass percentage of 99.45. The results of other regions of the country were declared on Thursday (May 24) with 98.19 pass percentage.
