The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was announced the class 12 board or intermediate exam results 2016 at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, on its official website. Minister of Human Resource Development Smriti Irani had earlier said the CBSE class 10 board and plus-two results would be announced by May 13.
The CBSE will soon release an official notification about the dates of result announcement. Students can check their class 12 result online on CBSE's result website. The notification regarding the announcement dates can be checked on the official website of CBSE.
CBSE class 12 result will also be published on the website of Jagran Josh, which also allows students to register their exam roll number, mobile number, email id and other relevant information to receive updates about the result through SMS or via email.
Students can download the mark sheets available on the CBSE website for further reference, but they will have to collect the physical copy sent by the board from their respective schools.
The CBSE examinations were conducted from March 1 to April 22 this year. More than 10 lakh candidates had registered for class 12 exams this year, the Indian Express reported.
Last year, India recorded a total pass percentage of 82 and the girls fared better that boys. Passing ratio of girls was 87.57 percent, while that for boys was 77.77 percent.
