The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) has announced the schedule for the practical examination and internal assessment of 2018 for both Class 10 and Class 12 students.
According to the reports and circulars issued by schools affiliated to CBSE, the practical examinations for both the classes will begin on January 16, 2018.
An NDTV report has said the practical exams may continue until February.
The practical results will be announced in February itself. Schools have been instructed to upload the practical marks on the website by February 25, 2018.
On December 8, the board had distributed circulars to all the CBSE affiliate schools carrying the time table, instructions on how to conduct practical papers and a notification on the submission of internal grades for the students in Class 10 to the board.
According to a Times Now report, the answer sheets for the practical examinations of Class 12 have also been dispatched to the schools.
Theory exam dates
Reports have claimed that the date for the theory papers will be announced after poll-bound states like Karnataka announce their election dates.
Meanwhile, the date sheet for the theory papers for the upcoming CBSE Examinations 2018 is expected to be released by the end of December or in the beginning of January 2018.
The CBSE had said it was planning to start its Class 10 and Class 12 examinations a month earlier than usual from 2018, but on November 21 the board said it had scrapped the plan and would conduct the finals for both the classes from the first week of March.
The CBSE had mulled advancing of the exam date in order to invest more time in the checking of the answer sheets, because huge discrepancies were found in the marks of a few students who had applied for verification.
