When "Castle" returns on ABC with season 8, it is likely to feature the popular onscreen power couple Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) on a new mission.
The Canadian actress earlier teased through Twitter that her character will not be appearing in the premiere episode of the upcoming sequel and wished best wishes to her co-stars on the first day of their shooting.
But the recent tweet of the 37-year-old reveals that she will start filming her role on Monday, 27 July. Fans will get to watch Beckett from the first episode of the prime time series. "Gearing up to start #Castle tomorrow. Got the 1st two eps in my paws," she tweeted.
Meanwhile, Katic also welcomed new cast members of the crime drama: "Big welcome to new #Castle cast members @ToksOlagundoye & @sunkrishbala !!! I know you will #BringIt."
While "The Neighbors" fame Toks Olagundoye will be playing the role of Hayley Vargas, a Scotland Yard police officer turned security person, "The Walking Dead" actor Sunkrish Bala will portray a high-strung tech analyst with a complicated past.
Although several speculations are doing the rounds that Olagundoye's character might bring nightmares for Richard and Beckett, there is also a buzz that she could help the female lead in deciding her professional path, according to Christian Today.
However, "Castle" fans will have to wait until Monday, 21 September, to find out about the new challenges faced by the power couple in season 8.
