Star Wars' Princess Leia aka Carrie Fisher has opened up about her intense affair with her then co-actor Harrison Ford on the sets of Star Wars in London in 1976.
Nearly 40 years after the incident, Carrie spilled the beans about her three-month affair with Harrison Ford, then a 33-year-old married father of two. Carrie was 19 years old at the time.
"It was so intense. It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend," the 60-year-old actress-author said, People magazine reported.
In her new book, The Princess Diarist, excerpts from which have been published by People, Fisher goes into detail about their affair, saying that the two first got together after a birthday party for director George Lucas.
"I looked over at Harrison. A hero's face — a few strands of hair fell over his noble, slightly furrowed brow," she writes. "How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me?"
But the Star Wars actress didn't mind because "he was really handsome," and she herself was a "bad kisser" and "sexually inexperienced".
In the 272-page book, Fisher claims that she really tried "relentlessly" to make Ford love her. She notes that Harrison's marriage to first wife Mary Marquardt did end in 1979, but "for reasons having nothing whatsoever to do with me."
The American actress continues her portrayal of General Leia Organa in Star Wars: Episode VIII that is due for release on December 15 2017.
Her book, The Princess Diarist, is set to hit the shelves on November 22.
