"Captain America: Civil War" is now confirmed to have some Spidey action. Reports suggest that Tom Holland will debut as Spider-Man in the 2016 release, much before his own film "Spider-Man Reboot", slated to hit theatres only in 2017.
The rumours about Tom Holland doing a cameo in "Civil War" has been around for quite some time, and now, in an interview with Vulture, Jonathan M Goldstein and John Francis Daley, who are writing the "Reboot" script, confirmed that the new Peter Parker will appear in "Captain America: Civil War".
It has also been confirmed that Holland has already finished filming for the role. The duo not only spoke about the web-slinger's cameo in the film, but also said they will go to Marvel Studios to watch the footage of Holland as Parker in "Civil War", and might even get to look at the Spidey Suit.
"We hear good things. We might even get to look at the Spidey suit, which is exciting," Goldstein said, in the interview while promoting "Vacation".
Going deep into Goldstein's words, What Culture points out that fans may not get to see too much of Spidey action. The website tells how everyone anticipated Peter Parker to have an integral role in "Captain America: Civil War" just like in the comics, but on the contrary it will just be a teaser ahead of the stand-alone film "Spider-Man Reboot".
Clearly, this may come as a huge disappointment for the Spidey fans. But let's just wait and watch.
"Captain America: Civil War" is slated for release on 6 May 2016 in the US and on 29 April 2016 in the UK.
