Canon India has launched two full frame DSLR cameras ― EOS 5DSR and EOS 5DS ― in India. The company claims that these are the world's highest resolution full frame DSLR cameras.
Both 5DS and 5DSR are flagship Canon cameras that belong to EOS series of cameras and are equipped with a 50.6mp 35mm, full-frame CMOS sensor processors. Both cameras incorporate technologies to enhance image resolution with minimal side-effects.
To complement the high resolution sensors, both cameras feature a new "Fine Detail" Picture Mode that allows configuring the sharpness level. And to handle the ultra-high pixel count, Canon has introduced a new cam-motor driven mirror mechanism to minimise mirror vibrations that occur and cause image shake.
EOS 5DS and 5DSR also feature a 1,50,000-dot RGB+IR Metering and automatic exposure system. This newly developed metering system ensures proper exposure and accurate colour tones even in the most challenging lighting conditions.
Both DSLR cameras feature the latest dual DIGIC 6 image processors, allowing a shooting speed of 5.0fps at a full resolution of 50.6mp.
The company also introduced XC10 4K Professional Video Camera that features a compact, lightweight and versatile design for convenient 4K/Full HD video shooting and 12mp digital still photography.
EOS 5DS, EOS 5DSR and XC10 4K Professional Video Camera will be available at all Canon Image Squares for ₹2,52,995, ₹2,65,995 and ₹1,70,000 respectively.
