Here is good news for gadget lovers, photographers and movie makers. Canon India has announced the arrival of the EOS 650D in India.
Positioned as the flagship of the entry-level DSLR range, the EOS 650D is an evolutionary leap forward. It has touch screen LCD monitor and features Auto-focus (AF) backed by a new Hybrid CMOS AF System. AF speeds are dramatically increased while focusing on live view and movie shooting modes.
Known as the Kiss X6i in Japan and the Rebel T4i in the Americas, Canon EOS 650D will be priced at Rs. 55,995 (body only), and Rs. 59,995 with EF S18-55 IS II lens.
The EOS 650D features a hybrid CMOS sensor with vastly improved continuous autofocus, a newly developed 18MP, APS-C sensor, 9-point, all Cross-type AF system and a 3.0-inch, vari-angle, capacitive-touch LCD screen.
"The EOS 650D is a revolutionary product developed from ground up to offer unmatched performance particularly while shooting video. It is the first DSLR in the world to feature a highly intuitive and usable capacitive touchscreen interface. It is also the first EOS camera to feature a Hybrid-Sensor based AF system, allowing continuous autofocus. This particular feature when combined with the new STM lenses, allows for unbeatable performance for video shooting. With the 650D, we are targeting highly discerning users who demand professional still and motion imagery results, at the most competitive price point," said Mr. Seiji Hamanishi, Assistant Director - Imaging Communication Products (ICP) division, Canon India Pvt. Canon is also launching two new EF lenses to compliment the EOS 650D. These lenses feature Canon's new STM (Stepped Motor), for faster, improved and virtually silent focusing - a huge boon for both still image and video shooters.
