Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone made her debut appearance as the brand ambassador of L'Oreal Paris at Cannes Film Festival 2017 on May 17. The diva, who did not impress the international media with her choice of outfits on many earlier occasions, walked the red carpet in a sheer gown.

Deepika was seen in a jewel-toned maroon creation by Marchesa Notte, which she paired aptly with Jimmy Choo heels and De Grisogono jewellery. She walked at the opening ceremony of Cannes 2017 for the screening of Arnaud Desplechin's Les Fantômes d'Ismaël.

The actress will be seen on Day 2 of the event as well. Interestingly, Deepika's Day 1 red carpet appearance was quite impressive, and the international media is now hopefully impressed.

The fashion faux pas made by the actress at international events earlier often got her dubious achievement of being the worst dressed actresses there. Also, the media compared her looks with Priyanka Chopra each time. Deepika's Met Gala 2017 look was criticised a lot by the foreign press.

But now, fans will hope they like Deepika's Cannes 2017 red carpet looks, even though the outfits that she wore during media interaction on Day 1 were not lauded by many.
