The 68th edition of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival kicked off on Wednesday, 13 May, in France, and many Indian celebrities are set to shine at the event in the following days.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer "Devdas" was the first Indian film to be screened at the Cannes in 2002 and the lead actress of the film has never missed the film festival ever since. She was also the first jury member from India at the event.
However, the actress has disappointed her fans many times with her red carpet appearances.
Even though Aishwarya's first appearance in a golden sari was appreciated by many, her second and third appearances in 2003 and 2004 in neon green Neeta Lulla saree and shimmering pink dress were tagged as the worst outfits from her wardrobe.
Mallika Sherawat's debut appearance in 2005 in a very-revealing white lehenga was also one of the worst appearances of the actress.
At the 2013 Cannes festival, the appearance of Vidya Balan and Sonam Kapoor were highly criticised by their fans. Vidya and Sonam, who tried to add an Indian flavour with their nose rings disappointed their fans back home, who criticised the actresses' fashion statements.
Vidya had worn a white, gold and black lehenga with the dupatta on her head in 2013.
