New Delhi, Oct 14 (ANI): Canada's Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday and met his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj for a discussion on Canada-India relations to strengthen bilateral economic ties between the two countries.
Baird also commemorated the International Day of the Girl Child at a school in the national capital. India and Canada were expected to discuss on the bilateral issues at the meeting, including matters related to security, defence, counter-terrorism, space and nuclear cooperation. Baird, who is on a five-day visit to India, is accompanied by Canadian International Trade Minister Ed Fast and National Revenue Minister Kerry-Lynne Findlay among others. Reportedly, the two sides wish to see bilateral trade reach higher peaks by 2015.
